Where are we?

Kirra is located 337km west of Brisbane in Queensland just past the rural farming community of Ducklo in Goranba. The property is a 34 acre natural Australian bush land setting with Kangaroos, Echidnas, Wallabies and too much bird life to mention, including Wrens, Kookaburras, and Willy Wag Tails.

Why rent land at Kirra?

If you're looking for your own patch of land to call home, renting land at a Kirra Community allows you to freely enjoy the land that you are renting on a short or long-term. Ideally for tiny homes and caravan owners looking for a tree change with security and other people around, but in a caring, quiet and peaceful environment. If your accommodation doesn't have toilet or bathing facilities, you might wish to use our amenities block. Kirra Community is Pet Friendly for up to a maximum of 2 domestic pets, albeit Cats or Dogs.

Our "Puppeez Paws" pet considerations for things like pet drinking water stations while out on a walk and a pet wash station next to the North Hamlet Garden Amenities block will make your pets welcome and feel at home.

What's included with the land?

Your patch of land is called a plot...

• Each plot is approximately 1000m2 (1/4 acre) 

• Each plot has a full suite of our own Off-Grid utilities that includes:

  • Electricity

  • Water

  • Sewerage connection

  • High-Speed Internet. 

• Each plot is also fully fenced to keep your pets and the wildlife apart and safe.

• There are 2 white rock "Hardstand" finished areas in each plot, one for your car and another for your accommodation.

• A rural access gate that is 3600mm (3.6m) wide.

• Access to the North Hamlet Garden Amenities block, which is serviced each week, for

  • Hot Showers

  • 9-Stage Reverse Osmosis Filtered Rain Water

  • Washing Machine

  • Laundry Tub

  • Vanity and Mirror

  • Separate Flushing Toilet

What's the cost?

Each plot with the inclusions listed above is $215.00 per week for a Single and $35 per week for each additional person.

There are limitations on the amount of electricity and water that can be consumed on each plot. As an Off-Grid community, we capture, store and process, filter and pump all our own water to each plot. There is a hard limit of 100 litres per person per day. Additionally we generate, store and distribute all our own electricity to each plot, and the weekly rental includes upto 4kWh per day.  Excess electricty is billed monthly at the rate of $0.4985 per kWh above 4kWh per day. A standard day is from midnight to midnight, at which time everything resets for another day. Our water CAN NOT be used to water plants, it is strictly for Cooking, Cleaning and Bathing. You can use grey water for plants or capture your own water.

A plot with an 8m x 5m corrugated rain roof, rain water capture and 1000 litres of storage and an 4m x 2m timber deck area is an additional  $30 per week.

Things you CAN do on your plot...

• Grow your own Veggies, Herbs or Flowers

• Land a Shipping Container

• Enjoy the peace and quiet that comes from living in nature

• Relax and spend time with your loved ones or pets

• Have a cat and a dog, or 2 cats or 2 dogs.

Things you CANNOT do on your plot...

• Grow illegal drugs in any quantity for any purpose with or without a prescription

• Build any structures without the written consent from the community first, which will not be unreasonably withheld.

• Have parties or listen to loud music - the community has a "Quiet Time" rule from 8pm to 8am everyday.

• Turn your plot into a dumping ground

• Have more than 2 vehicles, 1 accomodation tiny home or caravan, and 1 trailer. 

• Have anybody stay that is not on the lease for more than 3 days.

• Keep any "Farm" animals on your plot.
